Life & Career Milestones
My path in life took a while to figure out
1.
I was an athlete in high school and college—experiencing my own injuries and subsequent operations piqued my interest in the medical field.
2.
I got a few Division I offers to play baseball in college but tore my ACL before I could play my senior year of high school, so I went to a junior college instead.
3.
I tore my ACL again and decided it was time to hang up my cleats and figure out what else I wanted to do.
4.
My wife and I decided to pursue nursing together—we went through a junior college plan and I’ve since transitioned into a baccalaureate level nurse.
5.
I currently work as a spine and total joint replacement navigator, teaching patients about the surgery and recovery processes, and acting as a resource for patients during their recovery.
