Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Myself:
You should be doing something with your degree. If you don't use your degree... it was useless and a waste. You haven't used those skills in so long, that you've probably just lost them.
How I responded:
Everyone's path is different and unique and even though you may have a degree or you may not or use it-- you have value and worth. You can fine tune your skills through adult classes and community courses. A degree is never a waste and your education is a jumping off point to sorting out what you are meant for. On average, people have 11 jobs before finding their true career (so I've heard). You always have time to better yourself, your education and your life. You are worth it!
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
It was completely uplifting. You are the FIRST and how exciting to show how you value your parents by furthering your education and taking advantage of the great oppurtunities we have in the USA.
