How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Myself:
Since I always knew I wanted to be a teacher and I took all the steps to make that happen, I was never told by anyone that I couldn't do it. As an experienced teacher today though, I feel like there is always something more for me to be doing or learning. For example, technology has become a major part of education and I often feel like I am not doing enough even though I try the newest trends and attend professional technology workshops. It seems there is always someone who is doing more!
How I responded:
When I feel that I am not doing enough to be up to date on technology in the classroom, I try to put myself out there by learning from a colleague or attending more workshops. I try not to be too hard on myself and think about where I am now compared to where I first was when I started teaching. There is always going to be something new to learn and someone who has learned it before you but working with and learning from others can be a great resource!
