My path in life took a while to figure out
1.
First, I followed my gut, moved to NYC and immersed myself into Modern Dance.
2.
Then I worked in various corp. offices to pay the bills while exploring my art of dance choreography.
3.
Then I studied to become a Yoga instructor and that became my full-time job.
4.
Then I started training in aerial acrobatics for fun.
5.
Then I was inspired to create Unnata Aerial Yoga - aerial yoga at the time was a movement just born.
6.
Then I developed an organization and continued to develop the Yoga technique, which I still do today.
Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Myself:
My parents strongly disapproved of my going to NYC, after college, and pursuing an artistic dream of Modern Dance. I don't remember them saying anything specific to me, because essentially they stopped communicating with me, at all, for a while.
How I responded:
In the end, my parents were right I couldn't earn a living at Modern Dance; but pursuing Modern Dance helped me create a career that didn't exist at the time, and would not have been able to be foretold. I'm basically an artistic entrepreneur.
