Messages from Peers:
You should go to law school, you'll be a great lawyer. or You shouldn't be an accountant - it's so boring.
How I responded:
Accounting is a unique industry and really is up to the individual to make their career work for them; there are accounting roles where you do more data driven work, some where you work solo, and there are others where there is a collaborative approach. Focus on what drives you every day and imagine if you can see yourself excited to come to work. Work isn't always fun, but I feel supported by my team and firm, which is invaluable.
