My path in life took a while to figure out
1.
Entered college thinking I was going into the medical field.
2.
I changed my major to psychology and wanted to work with children.
3.
I applied to graduate school in clinical psychology to work with children's emotional well being.
4.
I discovered a career in a school system so I applied to school psychology program.
5.
After graduation, I got married and experienced cultural difference and started to question the influence of culture on beliefs and values.
6.
I started my career in Chicago as school/educational psychologist.
7.
Moved to California, continued my career, after 15 years of experience, I pursued a doctorate degree.
8.
My dissertation is titled "The Influence of Culture on Emotional Intelligence of Older Adolescents"

We are, by nature, born to learn and make progress. Those who are determined to make a difference will overcome the challenges and try to prove wrong those who limit you. Sometimes you limit yourself with doubts and fears. Take one step at a time, move forward and you will reach your goals.
