My path in life has been direct

First I was inspired to become a teacher because I had a fantastic teacher in high school.

I saw a how a colleague was getting her degree while working and thought I could do the same.

As a teacher I saw a need to address emotional concerns and felt a calling to do just that!

Messages from Society in general:
There is no money in education. People saying that teaching is for people who couldn't do something, so they fall back on teaching.
How I responded:
Just ignore the noise. You know in your heart that this profession is filled with people who are amazingly capable and choose to teach because they sincerely care about helping others and leaving this a better place!
