Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Myself:
A major discouragement was my grades since they were slightly below many of the averages for schools I applied to. I would criticize myself for not doing better in my classes and wished I could retake them or fix them somehow.
How I responded:
Tell yourself that you belong on the career path you chose. You will get there one way or another if that is your true passion.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
Grades - Working harder and learning how to be a better student
I had no family members to help me with the journey of applying to college and grad school. I had to figure out so much on my own. It was scary trying to figure out my life without input from my family but they supported me with whatever I chose.
