Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Society in general:
Why are you at Taco Bell? You can get a better job. That job is going to take you nowhere. Why are you working for Taco Bell? I thought you went to college. You left your office job for this?
How I responded:
At the end of the day, what others think about your carer choices is irrelevant. You know the work you do and it's you that knows where you are heading. This career choice is more than just making tacos; it is about team work and helping people have a better mood, whether it is a colleague or customer; it is about setting goals and meeting them and that, my friend, is when you get a sensation called pride.
