Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Society in general:
The most discouraging aspect of teaching is criticism from administrators that never taught in a classroom the curriculum they're evaluating. Parents who believe they know more about their child in your classroom and criticize you based on incomplete info
How I responded:
By being confident in the fact that what I am doing is best for my students. The communication I receive from past parents and students thanking me, even when in college.
